Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Mrs Samira Bawumia has revealed that her most talked about appearance and sense of fashion is always influenced by the love of Ghanaian prints. The former student of Mfantsiman Senior High School has been on the lips of most Ghanaians yet again after her exquisite outfit and appearance during Ghana’s 61st Anniversary Celebrations.According to Mrs Bawumia, the extremely beautiful and delicate nature of locally made designs are what attracts her to mostly wear them.During the International Women’s Day edition of The Morning Starr yesterday, where she disclosed her love for the print she said:“I don’t try to say anything with my fashion. I just want to be me. It is an expression of me but it is also a celebration of the talents we have in Ghana. Most of what I wear are made in Ghana and they are exquisite designs that our Ghanaians make. And the people who make clothes for me have seen their businesses booming. So for me, it’s also supporting the industry and showcasing Ghanaian fabrics, talents and boosting the industry,” she concluded.
